2026 Advanced Flower Farming Workshop

You are invited to my home and farm for a two-day Advanced Flower Farming Workshop!

When: Friday, January 23 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Where: San Diego, California – a few miles east of downtown/San Diego Airport

Cost: $800 (transferable but non-refundable)

Light refreshments and lunch will be provided both days.

Friday, January 23rd

  • 10 a.m. Light Brunch & Introductions in Rachel’s Living Room

  • 11 a.m. Farm Tour & Growing Hardy Annuals

  • 1 p.m. Lunch & Soil Management

  • 2 p.m. Seed Starting Demonstration & Crop Planning

  • 3 p.m. Close for the day – Optional to meet up at 6 p.m. for dinner off of the farm!

Saturday, January 24th

  • 10:00 a.m. Light Brunch and Q&A in Rachel’s Living Room

  • 11:00 a.m. Executing a Flower CSA & Wrapped Bouquet Demonstration 

  • Noon Harvest & Post-Harvest Handling of Cut Flowers

  • 1 p.m. Lunch & Time Management, Running a Farm Business

  • 2 p.m. Marketing and Selling Your Flowers

  • 3 p.m. Conclude Workshop – Optional to meet up at 6 p.m. for dinner off of the farm!

Attendees will receive written materials, including:

  • Sample CSA emails for replication

  • Sample crop plan 

  • Seasonal bouquet recipes with seeding dates

  • Dollar value per square foot for every flower crop we’ve grown

  • A list of my favorite flowers/cultivars for a cut-flower business

  • Detailed growing instructions for main flower crops like sweet peas, dahlias, ranunculuses

  • Sample Flower Availability for florists

  • And much, much more!

Participants are responsible for overnight accommodations and transportation to and from the farm each day. :)
